Karen Magee, formerly senior vice president of business transformation at Global Travel Collection, Internova's luxury division, has been named president of Valerie Wilson Travel beginning in September.

In her new role, Wilson-Buttigieg will focus on building Chase Travel's policy and engagement strategy. She will represent Chase Travel for the World Travel Tourism Council, U.S. Travel Association and American Society of Travel Advisors.

Wilson-Buttigieg was previously co-chair of ASTA's Government and Political Affairs Committee. She is also the former chair and a current member of ASTA's Corporate Advisory Council. She is a former representative on ASTA's board.

As head of policy, Wilson-Buttigieg joins the leadership team and will report to Chase Travel head Jason Wynn and Michelle Mesack, head of global government relations.

Wilson Wetty will now focus on building Chase Travel's culture and brands.

Her appointment comes "as we integrate the multiple brands and organizations within the Chase Travel Group to build one united voice," Wynn wrote in a note announcing the leadership changes to employees.

Wilson Wetty will continue developing programs for Chase's community of travel advisors. She continues to report to Wendy Vividor, chief marketing officer, and Ken Litton, chief operating officer.

Magee previously held several leadership positions at Global Travel Collection. She was key in the integration and growth of In the Know Experiences. Her career began at Frosch, where she worked on marketing and partner relations.

Magee will report to Marc Kazlauskas, head of Frosch leisure and branch operations.
