InterContinental Hotels Group franchises, leases, manages or owns more than 5,500 hotels and approximately 826,000 guestrooms in almost 100 countries, with more than 1,800 hotels in its development pipeline. Its brands include InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites and Hotel Indigo. The company opened the first property flagged under its Avid brand in Oklahoma City earlier this year and says it has around 130 signed franchise agreements for the midscale concept across North America.
