Primarily a coastal transportation service in Norway, Hurtigruten also has an expedition arm with two ships, the Fram and Midnatsol, devoted to the segment. In 2019, it expects two new 530-passenger ships, which it has named the Roald Amundsen and Fridtjof Nansen, after two famed Norwegian explorers.
