Comfort Inn

Comfort Inn is the largest of the brands franchised by Choice Hotels International. Established in 1981, Comfort Inn operates nearly 2,000 hotels worldwide. It is a chain of midmarket, limited-service properties that target the value-driven consumer.

The company says its properties are designed for optimal curb appeal and operating efficiency. Each Comfort Inn offers a swimming pool and/or exercise facilities. The rooms have 25-inch TVs with premium channels, in-room coffeemakers and a comfortable in-room workspace. A Continental breakfast is part of the room tariff and a copy of USA Today or The Wall Street Journal lands at guest room doors free of charge.

Comfort Suites was established in 1986 as an extension of the Comfort Inn brand. Its properties charge midmarket rates. The brand features generously sized rooms with separate areas for work, sleep and relaxation. The in-room kitchens typically have a compact refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker, and baths are oversized.

Amenities include a full sofa bed, a 32-inch or larger remote-controlled TV and direct-dial phone service. All hotels offer a swimming pool and/or exercise room. A complimentary Savory Starts breakfast features waffles and eggs along with a copy of USA Today or The Wall Street Journal. All Comfort Suites locations are 100% smoke-free.

Comfort Inns & Suites promotes a 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee program. Guests who are dissatisfied with their accommodations or service should report the problem to the front desk and give staff an opportunity to address it. If the problem cannot be corrected, the hotel waives the room tariff.

Frequent travelers can earn points at Choice Hotels throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean through the Choice Privileges rewards program. The points can be redeemed for free nights, airline miles, credits or gift certificates from specific national retailers and restaurants.
